What I do

Services

Most jobs start at the top of this list and work down. You can hire for one, or for the whole lot.

Land clearing

Wooded lots · overgrowth

Getting a lot ready to build or use: trees down, stumps out, brush handled, and the ground left ready for the next step.

  • Lot and homesite clearing
  • Stump removal and grinding
  • Underbrush and selective clearing
  • Driveway and access path cuts
  • Debris haul-off

Excavation & grading

Dirt work · drainage

Moving earth so water goes where it should and foundations sit on solid ground. Sandy lots and clay lots each need their own approach.

  • Foundation and footing digs
  • Rough and finish grading
  • Drainage, swales, and culverts
  • Gravel driveways and pads

Retaining walls

Slopes · erosion · terracing

Walls built to hold back real ground, not just look good. Every wall gets a compacted base and drainage behind it, because water pressure is what pushes walls over.

  • Block and stone retaining walls
  • Timber walls
  • Terracing sloped yards
  • Walls for driveways and building pads
  • Gravel backfill and drain pipe

Exterior construction

Residential

Building on the outside of the home once the site is ready, from structural pieces to the parts you live on.

  • Decks and porches
  • Siding and exterior repairs
  • Sheds and outbuildings
  • Fencing

Interior renovations

Remodels · upgrades · revamps

Updating the inside of the home, from a single room that needs a refresh to a full remodel. One person handles it start to finish, so you're not chasing multiple crews.

  • Kitchen and bathroom remodels
  • Flooring and tile
  • Drywall, trim, and paint
  • Doors, windows, and cabinet upgrades
  • Room revamps and general repairs
Land clearing, start to finish

Forest to finish grade

A wooded lot doesn't go straight from trees to a building pad. Here's what happens in between, and why each step matters for what gets built on top.

01

Standing timber

Walk the lot, flag the property lines and building area, and mark any trees you want kept.

02

Cut and clear

Trees felled and limbed. Logs and brush hauled off or chipped, depending on the job.

03

Stumps and roots out

Stumps pulled and roots grubbed so nothing rots and settles under a slab or driveway later.

04

Rough grade

Topsoil stripped and stockpiled, then the ground is cut and filled to shape.

SLOPE TO DRAIN
05

Finish grade

Graded to drain away from where the house goes, topsoil spread back, ready to build or seed.

Who you're hiring

You talk to the guy on the machine.

I'm Andrew Campbell. I live and work in Moore County, and I run every job myself. The person who walks your lot and writes your quote is the same person who shows up to do the work.

No crews you've never met, no office to call for an update. If you have a question, you call me.

How a job runs

Four steps

01

Walk the lot

We meet on site, look at the trees, slope, soil, and access, and talk through what you want.

02

Written quote

You get a clear quote with the scope spelled out, including what's not included.

03

The work

I schedule it, do it, and keep you posted if weather or the ground changes the plan.

04

Clean finish

We walk it together at the end. Debris gone, grade checked, nothing left for you to clean up.

Know your ground
Sandhills sand (south and east)

Drains well but loose. Fill and pads need proper compaction, and slopes erode fast without cover.

Red clay (north and west)

Stable once packed but holds water. Drainage and grading matter more than anything here.

Slopes and grade changes

Sand washes out and clay pushes when it's wet. Where the ground drops off, a retaining wall with drainage behind it keeps the yard where it belongs.
